How much is a Nikon D70 worth

by geoffellis. Ya id say 200-300 max... Hell, I see used D80`s selling for less than 350$ - D90`s are already getting as low as 500$ if your lucky. Not to mention D70 is a at least 8 years old now. The newer ones are getting cheaper... so that really pushes down the prices of used and older models 5 out of 5 stars. For starters the D70s features a 6.1 effective megapixel Nikon DX format CCD that yields 3,008 x 2,000-pixel images that are suitable for making large.

It's a classic, Nikon's first enthusiast camera body for $1,000 or less, and is capable of producing excellent image quality. It won tons of awards when it was released D70. 6.1 Effective Megapixels: For exceptional resolution that can produce very high definition 3008 x 2000-pixel images for printing 11 x 14-inch photos. Exposure Mode: Programmed Auto [P] with flexible program, Shutter-priority Auto [S], Aperture-priority Auto [A], Manual [M]; Digital Vari-Programs: These easy-to-use modes automatically.

For what the D70 can do its still a great camera and you can get a good used one on Ebay for around 400. I am currently spending my $$ on good glass, learning the ropes on my D70, and later will upgrade to a better camera It is not a bad camera it is an entry level out dated camera. In bright sunlight with good technique and a decent lens you can make a very fine image with the camera. It is just 15 years old. Technology in digital is advancing at a staggering rate.. As long as it isn't faulty the D70 will be as capable now as it was the day it launched. Its resolution is much lower than anything made in the last half-decade, and its low-light performance isn't great, but it's still a perfectly usable camera.. The D3000 actually will provide you a better platform for learning how to shoot amazing photos. Save your money and either buy a second lens or wait until you can budget for a D90. There's NOTHING that the D80 can do that the D3000 can't, in fact the white balance options on the D3000 are much more advanced. Jeroen Wijnands

Straight out of camera, the RAW files on both cameras were more contrasty and vivid than my D700's, closer in fact to how a jpeg would look. The Nikon D800 with its 36.3 megapixels and incredible dynamic range brings medium format quality to a DSLR body, and zooming in on files to inspect details is mind blowing Example2, The Nikon D70S came with a WIRED remote release, which my D70 did not have. That single rather small item, was important enough for me to upgrade from the D70 to the D70S. Note, the D70 to D70S was a minor camera upgrade, like going from a D7000 to a D7005. I know nothing about shooting video, so cannot give an option there

The D70s is a better camera for travel and leisure. As of May 2006 the D70s sells for about $750, or $950 with an 18 - 70 lens. For less than the price of a D200 body you can get a D70s and spectacular 18 - 200 VR lens. If price is a concern you'll always get better pictures with the D70s and the right lens than a D200 and the wrong lens Nikon D70/s Users 11,685 In canada, I just sold my D70 (non s) for 500 with a sigma 18-200 f3.5-6.3, to fund the purchase of a used D200. For me, the value of having my D70s is worth far more than the little bit of cash I could get for it.....But I get attached to stuff. :-) Post Reply. Nikon D70 - Is it worth using Sandisk Extreme III Thread On another tangent, transfers from my D200 are a lot quicker than my D70 because Nikon restrict the D70 and D70s to 12Mbps again a very good reason not to buy expensive cards but on the D2 range its full on USB2 running at warp factor 6 Regards Steve Used versions of the D300S don't cost much more than the D300, so are worth looking out for. Software Nik Capture NX software was included for free when the camera was originally on sale. It is worth looking out for this, although all third-party raw-editing software should now be able to edit the D300's NEF raw files. AF syste

How to do macro photography with Nikon D70 - how to settings tutorial. This is a how to instructions guide for taking macro photography and extreme close-ups with Nikon D70. Hence the title, how to do macro photography with Nikon D70. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes The Nikon D80 is available in four configurations: the body only, priced at $123; the body with 18-135mm lens, priced at $170; the body with 18-55mm lens, priced at $258; and the body with 18-55mm ED II lens, priced at $355. Verdict. As this Nikon D80 review has shown, the D80 is a nice camera to have on hand The D7000 was Nikon's most advanced camera at any price in 2010. Today the D610 is the same thing in a bigger package with a larger sensor, and the D7100 is the same thing with a white finder LCD instead of green. If money matters, this D7000 is still your best buy in 2014. Yes, the D800 and D4s are more expensive, but also a lot more clumsy. The Nikon D7000 handles better than any of them. Is it even worth it to sell these cameras? I want to buy a Nikon D700 to get the full frame and low light features. I own a D70 and a D80. I know the prices won't even help buy the D700. What I'm really asking is if it is even worth it to sell these cameras, or just hang on to them as back up cameras

Nikon D70 I have a Nikon D70, been using it for 3 years now without a problem up until 2 months ago when I tried to take a picture the screen read CHG or Charge. I assumed it meant the battery. I charged the battery for a full day thinking this would work and of course it didn't. I did the same thing for the next three days with no luck The release of the Nikon D50 offered a nice surprise for the average consumer. With stunning image quality, a user-friendly interface, excellent features, and a satisfying price point, the D50 remains a solid option for the beginner or as a back-up camera. Read on for our Nikon D50 review to learn why this DSLR is still worth it. Nikon D50 Spec

In short, Nikon has totally botched the D600 intro. It wasn't the D700 replacement people wanted, they sent hugely mixed signals on how much the camera was worth via that bundle deal, and then there's the shutter problem to worry about There are also a number of features on the D70 which aren't present on the newer entry level cameras which make it worth having. One of the biggest plus points for me is the autofocus motor which allows you to use older lenses like the 70-300mm (which can be obtained more cheaply because the newer entry level cameras need lenses with AF motors. What else is worth buying used? deep blue2 Yes - older Nikon models are worth picking up second hand - the D40, D50, D60, D70, D80 or D100 would all be good choices

Or do i go for a much more professional second hand model. I have seen a Nikon D1 for £300 which is obviously going to give me more money to play with. I would like to get a decent tripod and possibly another lens. I have been reading about the Nikon D1 and it sounds like an awsome camera far more professional than the eos 350D Hence the title, how to time lapse with Nikon D70. Timelapse photography allows us to see processes that would normally appear very subtle to the human eye, but when captured, enables us to see that process much more pronounced - such as a beautiful sunset, a blossoming flower, or melting ice But that number isn't quite what it seems. What sets the D850 and the Z 7 II mirrorless apart is the lenses. You'll get very similar performance out of a premium Nikon 24-70mm lens, but in the. Nikon makes a 80-200 f/2.8 for around $800 USD, with VR it will run about $1600 USD. If you want longer you and look at the 200-400mm f/4 but you are talking big money there. Sigma also makes a 70-200 f/2.8 but I personaly did not car that much for it

  1. The old Olympus was pretty much dead on for color. So, I bought an Olympus C785. But, was eyeing the Olympus E Volt E 300 digital SLR. It's a lot more expensive. I am going back to the camera store in the morning to take a closer look at the Olympus E 300 and a Nikon D70 (if they have one in stock

  3. I specifically picked up a D70 for the purpose of using its electronic shutter for overpowering the sun (syncs to 1/8000 with flashes) I paid $50 for the body - though if you don't like manual focus, look for a D80/D90 - which you should be able to manage for a body. 5. Nikon D90 worth replacing my old D70? I have a chance to purchase a D90 for $225, in excellent condition and about 13k shutter clicks. Should I save my money and use it towards a 7000 or 7100, or would this be a worthy option for someone who uses his camera in a non-professional way

Nikon has replaced the D70's 1.8-inch monitor with a 2.0-inch display, which makes reviewing images much more comfortable. The menu has also been made easier to read through use of a larger type-face and the D70's white-on-blue colour scheme has been replaced by white-on-grey, with highlighted items shown in bright yellow The Nikon 70-300mm has an f/4.5 max at 70mm and an f/6.3 aperture at 300mm. It comes bundled with only seven lamellae diaphragms. For a more powerful Bokeh, the high the number of diaphragms, the better. The Bokeh on the Nikon 70-300mm is still unbelievably beautiful thanks to the round aperture lamellae

The standard D70 kit lens has a decent rep and a great price, and you won't do much better for a walkaround zoom (one suitable for most situations when walking around with the camera) within your price constraints. Alternatively, getting her one of the 12-24mm zooms would give her a really *good* wideangle end. I think getting *both* the kit len How much should I sell my D60 for? As much as you can get! Recommendations. Like most of these comparisons, the right choice between the Nikon D750 and D780 is all about price. The D750 is an older DSLR, and its price reflects that. It costs $1500 new and routinely sells for under $900 used in good condition. In practice, compressed NEFs were not an option as they were simply too.

Not a Nikon user, but for landscape work I would have thought this a non issue. Might be worth waiting for the D200 t see what it's high ISO performance is like as the D2X has no advantages over. The highlight of the Nikon D7200 is the much bigger buffer - the Nikon D7200 can shoot up to 18 images in 14-bit lossless RAW, which is roughly 3 times more than what the D7100 can do. The D7100 only lasted for a mere second before the buffer filled up and the camera slowed down and the D7200 will triple that time Nikon D780, PolarPro Quartzline circular polarizer, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Sport. I don't know how they did it, but Nikon sure reminded us why we love still DSLRs so much with the battery life of the D780. It just never dies, even with ample live view usage or still image chimping (Nikon Z5, Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S, Nikkor Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3) A $1,400 full-frame mirrorless camera might seem too good to be true for a very serious photographer, let alone a paid professional, however, the Z5 really does deliver the features and overall performance that make it ideal for even high-end paid work. So, whether you're just getting serious about photography or have been a.

I went to the store and we tried a Nikon lense 18-35 3.5 (I know its not as sensitive but the 2.8 Nikon were out of my league) Wich worked fine. I have used it a lot since then and lately the Mirror locked up again. Only two times so far, but its enough for me. I am going to mail about this to Nikon. Another Nikon D70 is it worth it? Photo

Any hopes you have that it's worth more than that will be baseless because ebay is proof that something is only worth what somebody else is prepared to pay for it. I've bought lots of Nikon items on ebay from filters and hoods through to the 14mm and 28mm f1.4 wide angles, an SB-29s and so on 3. Dated, yes. Newer DSLRs are much better and have improved in terms of performance and newer features like Live-View and video. However, the D80 is still a good camera. Newer models cant change that and it is still better than 99% of cameras with fixed lenses. If you get it for a good price, its very good. Share

Nikon Coolpix A vs D70. The Nikon Coolpix A and the Nikon D70 are two digital cameras that were announced, respectively, in March 2013 and January 2004. The Coolpix A is a fixed lens compact, while the D70 is a DSLR. Both cameras are equipped with an APS-C sensor. The Coolpix A has a resolution of 16.1 megapixels, whereas the D70 provides 6 MP Tokina's affordable DX Nikon offering is much bigger, heavier, and durable than Nikon's 10-20mm, but it's a lot more rugged and durable, with a constant f/4 aperture and stunningly sharp images from corner to corner. 12mm is a respectable ultra-wide focal length on DX cameras, and 28mm is good enough that this could easily be the only. I've been told that the kit lens for the Canon 20D is a cheap piece of junk that is just there so you can take pictures, while the kit lens for the Nikon D70 is much higher quality and is a great. The Nikon D70 is an amazing camera. It shoots a 6 megapixel image--detailed enough for tabloid-sized prints--and it inherits nearly every feature, ability and technology Nikon has evolved in their other digital cameras. Far from being an entry-level camera, it is the anchor of the Nikon professional dSLR line In regards to the lens mount, what you get with the Nikon D7000 is pretty much the same as with just about any Nikon DSLR, with a few notable exceptions. F-Mount: First, it's worth noting that this is a DX (APS-C) sensor, but you can mount any Nikon F-mount lens that is AI or later. Or in other words, just about any lens made for Nikon made in.

Whether you're an amateur photographer trying to make a smooth transition to the pro league or a casual snapper that wants to take some above-average photos, the Nikon Coolpix L820 digital camera is worth your attention. Belonging to the bridge segment, the L820 combines the best of two worlds: the ease-of-use of compact cameras and [ Interesting comment about the sharpness / image quality - comparing it to my old Nikon 601AF, with Kodak 200 film scanned on a Epson 4870, the D70 gives a better result - I had to apply a fair bit of sharpening to get clear scanned shots and there was a lot more cloning involved to get rid of dust marks Nikon D70 custom settings. Is the Nikon D80 still worth it

The D3200's overall sensor score was 81, compared to the Nikon D90's 73. However, the Nikon D90 trumps the Nikon D3200 on several counts. For starters, it has a relatively large (0.63x vs. 0.50x) viewfinder and a pentaprism (the D3200 has a pentamirror) which projects a brighter, easier on the eyes image This was a very cheap lens, usually paired with a 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom in a D70 kit. Neither were very good optically, and were about as cheaply built as possible. I had the same kit as my first DSLR. I doubt that either that lens or a D70 would be worth the trouble to trade-in, but you never know

I'm pretty much an all-Nikon guy. I don't get into the Canon vs. Nikon debate. I think it is a silly discussion. They are just about equal, really. Once you start down one path, just stay on that path so you can re-use lenses as new bodies come out. That's it. End of discussion. I started with a Nikon D70 and then moved on to the Nikon D2X I have owned the original 70-200/2.8 for about 15 y. On a DX camera (D70, D200) it is an outstanding lens, on the 12MP D700 it is still very good, on D800 and D850 the lens shows some weakness, but it is still quite good. I believe the situation with newer versions of the same model is pretty much the same Nikon D7000 Digital SLR Camera Body, 16.2 Megapixel, 1080HD Movie, U.S.A. Warrant
